It was the largest camp for WWI Prisoners of War which was home to tens of thousands of prisoners. As the largest such camp during the times of the Austro-Hungarian Empire it had a capacity for 40-50,000 inmates. There are no signs today of the barracks, its area is overgrown with vegetation and only the camp’s cemetery reminds us of the place. Each year on All Saints’ day there is a commemoration event with an ecumenical church service delivered where we pay tribute to the heroes who could never return home and are laid to rest in the soil of a foreign land. To introduce the history of the camp for prisoners of war, the municipality set up a temporary exhibition in 2008 in the local cultural centre. It is open upon prior arrangement, guides are available.

Relics related to poet Sándor Petőfi
16-year-old Petőfi spent one of his summers here and in 1973 a memorial room was founded to display items that can be linked to the poet. The items on display were updated and extended with the support of the Petőfi Literary Museum in 2006. Besides the exhibition, two plaques (one on the Ragyogo Bridge and another on the Salkovics House) to pay tribute to one of Hungary's greatest poets.
WWI Memorial
The WWI memorial of the village was erected in 1938 when the former Lutheran bell tower was turned into a bastion-shaped tower. The plaque to commemorate the heroes of WWII was put in in 1938. On the third side of the memorial they pay tribute to Crown Guard József Kocsis.

János Czencz, the painter known across Europe, was born in Ostffyasszonyfa. The general assembly of the village made a decision in 2009 to pay tribute to its famous native son with a memorial plaque. The place where the plaque was to be put is in the park located in the first section of Hegyalja Street.
