The artificial lake in Celldömölk is surrounded by bushes, reed, shrubs and groves. It is popular with those keen on fishing and the benches on its bank offer comfortable resting places.
The lake is located by the main road connecting the town with Jánosháza, between Celldömölk and the village of Alsóság, right next to the junction leading to theVolcano Spa and Health resort. . It used to be a pit full of water used by a former brick plant. Its water surface is acres; its average depth is 1.8-2.00 metres but it can reach 7-9 metres. It is fed by its own spring.
